What we do

Three disciplines, one workshop

How it works

From photographs to a signed report

Four steps, usually two to three weeks end to end.

Submit the details

Photographs (front, back, scroll, f-holes, label, bow) and any documents you hold.

Preliminary review

We reply with an initial view and a quotation for a full report.

Physical examination

The instrument is examined in hand: measurements, interior inspection and material identification.

Written opinion

You receive a signed report with photographs, findings and a valuation range.

Our approach

What we know, what we believe, what stays uncertain

The value of an opinion lies in how clearly it separates evidence from judgement.

  • Every instrument is examined in hand before we say anything about it.
  • Provenance and auction records are checked, not assumed.
  • Our tool range comes from our own workshop and from makers we have used for years.
  • Where something cannot be established, we say so in the report.

More about us

An opinion is only useful if it says plainly where the certainty ends.
