Our Violins · Luthier Tools
Fine instruments, judged with care.
We curate fine instruments for collectors, and supply professional tools for makers and restorers.
What we do
Three disciplines, one workshop
Instruments are bought, sold and held in trust on the strength of what is known about them. That is the work we do.
Our violins
Our own instruments and selected pieces from makers we trust, documented in detail.
Luthier tools

Our approach
What we know, what we believe, what stays uncertain
The value of an opinion lies in how clearly it separates evidence from judgement.
- Every instrument is examined in hand before we say anything about it.
- Provenance and auction records are checked, not assumed.
- Our tool range comes from our own workshop and from makers we have used for years.
- Where something cannot be established, we say so in the report.
An opinion is only useful if it says plainly where the certainty ends.
